Lamplighter is a teen fiction novel by D.M. Cornish. And now orphan Rossmund Bookchild has been swarn into the Emperors service as a Lamplighter. His civil duty is to now to light lamps along the Emperor’s highway and to guard the travelers from the fierce Bogles that lives ferel. Rossmund seems to have problems with his height and being to meek. His lonleyness does not stop no matter how hard he tries.But when a young girl a member of a suspiciously regarded society of women Teratologists (A.K.A monster hunters) is forced upon the lamplighters for training. Rossmund now may not be the most disliked person around and he begins to make new friends, but with friends comes enemies. And now he is finding himself coming closer and closer to meet a terrible fate, far beyond his fears.
