Cornella Funke was born December 10, 1958 in North Rhine-Westphalia West Germany. Her parents are Karl Heinz and Helmi Funke. Cornella has two children, Ben born 1994 and Anna born 1989. When she was a young girl she had a dream of being a pilot or astronaut but then she decided to study pedagogy at the University of Hamburg. When she was done she worked with children that have a deprived background and became a social worker for three years. Later on in her life Cornalla established herself in the world of childrens books by writing two hit books in Germany, Wild Chicks and Ghost Hunters. And ever since her books have done really well like her Dragon Rider novel that stayed on the New York Times best seller list for 78 weeks. Then in 2003 she wrote one of her biggest hits Inkheart which one 2004 BookSense Book of the Year Children’s literature. She and her family lived in Germany until 2005 when they moved to Los Angeles and in 2006 her husband Rolf Funke died of cancer. Her books have sold 10 million copies world wide.
Joseph Delaney was a fantasy fiction writer but is now a teen horror fiction writer best known for his work on The Last Apprentice book series. He was born in London on July 25, 1945 in a quit little town in Preston, England. Right after he finished school he became an apprentice Engineer and went on and became an English Instructor and specialized in the study of Vampire lore. The first book he released was a Sci-fi novel and he wrote this novel under the name J.K. Haderack. The first of the books he released not under his pen-name but under his real name where childrens book series named the Wardstone Chronicles or The last Apprentice series. He bases alout of the places in the Last Apprentice novel on real places where he grew up like Chipping is Chipenden and The County is based on Lancashire and Priestown is also based loosely on Preston, England.
Christopher Paolini is a teen fiction witter known for his incredible work on the Inheritance Cycle A.K.A the Eragon series. Christopher was born in November 17, 1983 in Southern California and now lives in Paradise Hills, Montana with his mom Talita Hodgkinson his dad Kennith Paolini, and little sister Angela Paolini who inspired the character of Angela the Herbalist. Eragon had to be a success because if not then his family would have lost their house and eventually there way of life. In 2002 Christopher published the first book in the series Eragon and soon after it became a success he was already writing the second book Eldest which he released in 2005. Soon after when the book had turned an icon and inspired many he released the third in 2008 named Brisingr. To date the Inheritance cycle has sold 20 million copies. The book has even inspired a movie based on Eragon and a video game. In March, 23 2011 the 4th and final book in the series named Inheritance was announced. It will be released on November, 8 2011.
